Xue Yan

Curator Xue Yan from China National Silk Museum in Zhejiang, China will explore Chinese Silk on the Silk Road from the 10th to the 14th century throughout the period of Liao, Song, Jin and Yuan dynasties where garments altered dramatically. Xue Yan will highlight this disparity through presenting an outlook onto textiles categories and the dressing styles of diverse eras. She will present the link among garments, periods and its impact on people’s lives. Moreover, Xue will elaborate on the particular qualities in garments shared between China and the Arab world during this period.
